Smithsonian Associates is the largest integrated membership and educational component of the Smithsonian. As a cultural and continuing education arm of the Smithsonian Institution, Smithsonian Associates presents more than 1,500 programs each year on topics in the fields of art and architecture, culinary arts, current issues, history, international affairs, literature and writing, music, theater and film, personal and professional development, philosophy and religion, popular culture and sciences.

Smithsonian Associates is located in the S. Dillon Ripley Center about one block from Smithsonian Station subway stop on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
