Senior Speech/Language Pathology Assistant (MD, DC, VA and DE locations)

(FULL TIME, PART-TIME, PRN POSITIONS AVAILABLE MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)

CETC is seeking eager, excited Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to treat and screen students with speech and hearing disorders. Key Functions:

  • Develop curriculum that can help build communication skills
  • Assist your Supervisor(s) in assessing communication (speech and language) skills through screenings
  • Complete daily documentation of services and outcomes
  • Manage caseloads, services and scheduling
  • Perform small group and individual therapy based on client needs
  • Collaborate and consult with professionals, providers, families, and teachers.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of language, speech, and hearing disorders
  • Excellent and effective oral communication and writing skills
  • Ability to meet federal and state regulations for licensure
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and creative
  • Recognize the need to respond to culturally diverse communities

·         Understand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the field

  • Experience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening measures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s from an accredited university
  • State licensure (limited or full) from state of practice
  • Completion of 75 Clinical Assistance hours preferred but not required
