Social Media Intern
NK News is seeking is seeking a social media intern for a part-time (25 hours/week), three-month period, starting in February 2017.
Working at the NK News Seoul office or remotely, the social media intern will be responsible for assisting the Communications Manager to create, manage and grow the company’s presence through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and other strategically relevant online properties.
The social media intern will help build the NK News online community by creating engaging social media content, conversing with brand advocates, attending Twitter chats and moderating our own #’s, strategizing ways to scale our communities and connect with new people, analyzing efforts driving most of the traffic, and creating relationships with people in different organizations related to the field.
Desired qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral English. Korean proficiency is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of North Korea/Korean Peninsula
- In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube
- Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop or other photo editing software
- High attention to detail
- Good initiative
