Life Coach

Looking for a job where you can make a difference? Daniels Academy is currently looking for Life Coaches who are able to compassionately work with students with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder. Life Coaches work closely with students in helping increase social learning, developing life skills, improving executive functioning, and learning how to emotionally regulate.


Daniels Academy is a premier residential treatment center located in the beautiful Heber valley. Our staff play a vital role in our success as a program and as such we are looking for quality individuals to join our team. Shifts Available


  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7am ~ 3:30pm
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2:45pm ~ 11pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 7am ~ 3:30pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 2:45pm ~ 11pm
  • All shifts require a Sunday shift that is worked once a month that is 15 hours, 8am ~ 11pm


Duties


  • Interacting with clients, making them feel supported and cared for
  • Maintaining a safe environment, both emotionally and physically, for clients to grow in and develop relationships
  • Give feedback to clients about behaviors observed in a compassionate manor
  • Participate in activities with clients, building rapport and community 
  • Ensure clients are staying on task while in school
  • Driving clients to school, or various activities in the area 
  • Administering medications to clients
  • Keeping all clients in Line of Sight at all times


Qualifications and Skills


Certifications

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Food Handlers permit
  • Valid auto insurance 
  • Able to pass background check and drug test


Qualifications

  • Past experience working as a direct care staff is preferred, but not required
  • Earned at least an Associates Degree 
  • Preference towards those who are currently working towards a Bachelors degree in fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Behavioral Science, or Human Resources
  • Patient with others
  • Able to stay centered while dealing with stressful situations 
  • Quick to listen than to speak
  • Articulate in speech
  • Strong awareness of other’s emotions 
  • Able to work effectively in a team 
  • Successful in finding effective means in developing rapport with others
  • Detail oriented
