Be My PCA/Caregiver
Hey there!
I am a mid 30s gal who uses a wheelchair immediately looking to add YOU to my team of caregivers!
I live in New Hope, an easy commute from Downtown, Uptown, the U of M West Bank and most metro colleges. I am looking to add some great gals to help in assisting me with living an independent life as a PCA/Caregiver. Think of everything you do for yourself and I probably need some kind of help with it. Things include daily personal cares, household tasks, my two small dogs, and just getting me wherever I need to go. Sometimes you get to go do fun things with me and there tends to be downtime if you have studying or binge watching to do! ;)
I am looking to fill the following positions:
--- Position 1:
- Thursdays 4p to Friday 8a
- Required 24-hour shift every other weekend (one Saturday 8a-Sun 8a and one Sunday 8a-Monday 8a)
--- Position 2:
- Required 24-hour shift every other weekend (one Saturday 8a-Sun 8a and one Sunday 8a-Monday 8a)
- Beginning 7/16 Mondays 8a to Tuesday 8a (except for the week you work Sunday, then you could do 4p to Tuesday 8a)
Overnights you get paid to sleep and wake when I need assistance. Some other hours may be available as well as days that need to be filled in for time off requests. This is the schedule through Labor Day. More or different hours available then.
Requirements:
- Be able to lift and turn 80lbs
-Have a driver's license and your own vehicle for getting yourself to/from work (not getting dropped off/picked up)
-Be free of smoke before and during work, and completely drug free
-Be ok with two small companion dogs
-Have a clean background
-Be able to commit to more than just a few months, but can work with schedule changes for school
-Be outgoing, mature, responsible, dependable, and willing to learn.
No experience necessary - complete training provided!
$13.23/hr, with potential for a raise later this summer, earned PTO and five select paid holidays. Looks great on resumes and grad school apps (but need not be a student)! I will provide a personalized letter of recommendation upon request after nine months of employment.
