Summer 2019 Operations Intern

Operations Interns will be assigned to a specified department. The work will be primarily clerical in nature. Daily work will be supplemented with several information sessions about the firm and the industry. Upon completion of the internship, you should have a clear understanding of what Dodge & Cox does, how we do it, and how we differentiate ourselves from other Investment Managers. Additionally, you will be given opportunities to learn about various job functions supporting Investment Management, including, the following areas: Accounting, Client Service, Shareholder Service, Information Technology, Compliance, and Communications.
You will also have the opportunity to meet with people from senior management, including the Director of Research, who will conduct a multi-week class for the interns on Security Analysis. Homework will be assigned.
Applicants must possess an interest in Investment Management, Excellent Academic Achievement (minimum GPA 3.0), computer skills (MS Excel a must), a positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. No course requirements. All majors are welcome.

The Code of Ethics may also apply to family members living under the same roof.
The recruiting process for the 2019 Operations Interns program will begin November 8, 2018 and will close on January 7, 2019.
