Information Technology Intern

MCCA serves as an administrative agent that provides common management of assets, general, administrative, and technology services for the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) and LeadingAge Minnesota. The Minnesota Hospital Association represents Minnesota’s hospitals and health systems. LeadingAge Minnesota is the largest association of organizations serving the Minnesota senior communities.

The role of the IT intern is to assist and support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software and other systems. The intern will participate in the troubleshooting of issues related to equipment including printers, computers, network hardware and software applications.

This is a paid internship which requires troubleshooting skills and is an entry into the professional IT management industry. We require a 16 to 20 hours a week commitment for at least the minimum length required for course completion. We aim to start this position in mid-December.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 
·        Assist in the identification, research and resolution of technology issues.
·        Assist with new computer and cell phone configuration, setup, and distribution.
·        Assist in monitoring and deploying patches and vulnerabilities.
·        Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
·        Research questions using available information resources
·        Log all help desk interactions
·        Inform network services team of recurring problems
·        Stay current with system information, changes and updates
