MDOT Information Security Supervisor - Departmental Manager 13

This position functions as a first-line manager in an information technology and security environment designated as a complex work area by the department. This position is responsible for the coordination/management of staff within the IT Security unit to address departmental IT security needs and/or changes. Serves as the department's assistant Information Security Officer (ISO) responsible for working with the ISO on MDOT's IT security program including the development, implementation and management of agency-wide security policies and procedures. Responsible for monitoring all the organization information systems to ensure full compliance with all state and agency policies and business practices. Also serves as the lead system administrator for security-related applications for two systems used MDOT-wide: SIGMA and CoSign.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Additional Requirements and Information
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11 level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.


Position is located at 425 West Ottawa Street, Lansing, Michigan.
