Literacy Teacher, Grade 8

Meyer Middle School is seeking a dynamic Literacy Teacher with a passion for inspiring and encouraging ALL students to reach their potential through hard work and character. Candidates must be able to create a positive and safe learning environment by first having the skills to build meaningful connections with students. Applicants must also be able to model and promote the positive character traits we expect to see in our students, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, perseverance, growth mindset, collaborative and compassionate toward the needs of others. Further, we are seeking candidates with strong communication and organizational skills.
Candidates must have or be eligible for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license in English-Language Arts, Middle Level Education, or Reading. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students in a school setting.
