This position islocated in the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) located in Silver Spring, MD.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent is responsible for a variety of functions that include procurement, fellowship program, travel, training, records management, administrative standard operating procedures, internal policy and procedures for the office.
  • Plans and coordinates the day-to-day administrative functions of the office. Provides guidance on issues dealing with specialized areas such as administrative, budget, procurement, and contract management.

  • Coordinates assigned functions with managers/supervisors to discuss work-related changes affecting office and provides recommendations.
  • Provides technical support and advisory services to the office regarding the timekeeping management using automated timekeeping software such as the ITAS system.
  • Participates in regular meetings with management to address administrative issues, resolve problems, and provide recommendations for improving the program. Review program problem areas to locate and eliminate ineffective procedures or processes.
  • Monitors and analyzes the execution i.e., obligations and expenditures of approved operating and budget to ensure that funds are properly allocated and are being obligated and spent in a timely and effective manner in support of authorized projects.
  • Establishes and refines processes and provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness and accuracy.
