Consumer Safety Officer
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), Silver Spring, MD.
CBER uses sound science and regulatory expertise to:
Protect and improve public and individual health in the United States and, where feasible, globally; Facilitate the development, approval of, and access to safe and effective biological products and promising new technologies; and Strengthen CBER as a preeminent regulatory organization for biological products.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in the area of biological drug and/or device manufacturing and procedures.
- Review and evaluate plans developed by various components to establish a uniform plan for the division.
- Provide oversight of regulatory responsibilities and operational functions.
- Provide information to offices assigned to handle regulatory actions.
