Data and Instructional Coach at Cooper and Madison Elementary School

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  Must hold a Wisconsin DPI teaching license.
2.  Must have a minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
3.  Candidates also must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in:
·   Analyzing data and adopting an effective course of action on the basis of the data
·   Using the district data system to analyze student data and prepare statistical reports
·   Curriculum and program development
·   Providing professional development for teachers
·   Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others
·   Identifying and using evidence-based instructional practices.
4.  Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently.
5.  Experience as a literacy or math coach or instructional leadership team member is a plus.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist teachers throughout the SLO process. Discuss, develop, and help deliver Professional Development. Create and update spreadsheets with student achievement data (Cooper - run the data team meetings). Provide any new staff with F & P Reading Assessment Training, Phonics training, etc. Understand data from STAR, F & P, and FORWARD testing as well as help to coordinate/organize these assessments when needed. Be available to all teams at PLC discussions to offer best practices and approaches. Relay information from math and ELA workgroups to the principal and the Building Leadership Team (be a part of each building’s leadership team). Follow directions from the Principal during weekly meetings. Performs non-evaluative classroom walkthroughs and collaborates with teachers regarding research-based instructional strategies. Responsible for setting agendas and supporting the Instructional Leadership Team. Meets weekly with each grade level to discuss student data and instructional practices that meet the identified needs of the students in their class. Provide modeling or feedback in response to teacher requests and encourage teachers to utilize the talents of their colleagues through classroom observations. Develops common assessments with grade-level teams to measure growth in particular areas of need. Works to support staff in the implementation of any new district and building initiatives. Oversee the interventions being done in the building along with the principal and help with the scheduling of interventions (at Cooper). Other necessary tasks as decided upon by you and the principal.
