As a Direct Support Professional, you will work in a residential facility in the Mendota Heights area, supporting individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and gain valuable skills. DSP positions are available on part time evenings.

Direct Support Professional responsibilities:

• Assist clients with activities of daily living to include eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring and continence
• Schedule appointments; transport clients to and from appointments and community outings
• Provide clients with support and gentle coaching to help them become more independent
• Use redirection and de-escalation techniques as needed for client safety
• Help with cooking, cleaning and running errands to support the facility
• Stay up-to-date with documentation and proper procedures
